RVATech Data + AI Summit, Richmond
[Richmond Virginia Technology Conference]
In March 19, 2025, I had the privilege of participating in the Richmond Virginia
Technology (RVATech) Data
+ AI
Summit, one
of the region’s premier events dedicated to the latest trends in data science, artificial intelligence,
and digital
transformation. The summit brought together hundreds of professionals, thought leaders, and innovators to
explore how
organizations are navigating the evolving AI landscape.
As part of Premier Analytics Consulting,
Ryan Paul Lafler and I delivered a 50-minute presentation titled
“Building
Better Data Science Workflows”. Our session focused on practical strategies with Git, GitHub,
and DVC for
collaborative
data science, reproducible machine learning pipelines, and effective software versioning. With more than
110
professionals in attendance, ranging from data scientists to DevOps engineers and AI practitioners, the
talk highlighted
the importance of robust workflows in ensuring scalability, transparency, and long-term success in
data-driven projects.
Beyond our presentation, the summit was a unique opportunity to engage with leaders at the forefront of AI
innovation,
exchange best practices, and learn how enterprises are integrating open-source and cloud-native tools into
their
analytics ecosystems. The experience not only reinforced the growing demand for workflow-oriented
approaches in data
science, but also showcased the impact of cross-disciplinary collaboration in shaping the future of AI and
analytics.
